#4weeks4kg 2 weeks in update

It has been 2 weeks since I started my #4weeks4kg challenge and I am not going to lie- I did not follow the one and only rule of the plan – consume only 1200 cal a day. I am naturally a fatty- I love food, all kindof food and a lot of food. Fitting in 1200 calories a day was a huge struggle specially as I had to celebrate my fiancés birthday, my birthday, my fiancés mums birthday and starting my own company- yes , all this only in 2 weeks. After week 1 I was meant to do a…

Saturday afternoon at blogospherecafe

Recently I had a pleasure attending Blogosphere café organised by Blogosphere Magazine . My only blogging friend (Till now) – Mr. Salt & Pepper (@Skirmy) suggested we go and meet some other bloggers and the magazine team. The event took place in beautiful Lumiere gallery in south London- which should be quite easy to find unless you let @skirmy show you the way. Oh and did I mention, we thought we were late so he was walking super fast and I was trying to catch up in my high heel boots (my poor feet…). We got to the venue and…

The National Wedding Show –Where I found THE dress

Biggest wedding show in UK with over 300 wedding specialists from bridal boutiques & florists to jewelers and photographers – A great event to attend for a future Bride and her bridesmaids. The event took place in London Olympia 17th-19th February. As soon as we walked in ( and that was pretty fast with our VIP tickets), I was amazed by the beauty of the displays and decorations of the venue. Flowers, tassels, ribbons, balloons…. Everything you could imagine on your perfect wedding. As part of the VIP experience, we got access to the VIP lounge where you get an…

Investment Piece #1- Handbag

Spending hundreds of pounds on every T-shirt is not only not within my budget but in my opinion – waste of money. My wardrobe strategy- few good quality expensive statement pieces and a lot of simple & not too pricey basics. One of the investment pieces every woman should have – handbag. Choose classic over trendy. You will want to look for something that is simple and not too bright. You are most likely going to want this handbag to go with your work outfits as well as well as something more colorful and bright on your nights out with friends…

All roads lead to Rome

Recently I got a chance to visit one of my favorite cities for the second time. I love Roman food, traditions, history, churches and the fact that you can walk along the tiny cobbled corner to find Trevi fountain, Spanish steps or some palace that you once saw in your year 7 history book. Choosing a place to stay in Rome can seem pretty tricky at first. Prices vary a lot -staying a bit further from the city center is much cheaper as well as the area around the main rail station. We have decided to stay in a little boutique…

Weekend Explorations

You don’t need to take time off work or plan your holiday for months. Some great adventures don’t require you to hop on the plane, train or even a car. I am quite lucky living in Hertfordshire, England –landscapes here are simply beautiful. Few recent weekends we have been walking by the river exploring local area and nearby towns. Ware- Hertford A short 2.8 mile walk by the river was a great way to spend Sunday morning. The walk is easy with beautiful views along the route. We have met few runners, dogs and even a horse on the…

Lanzarote- where he popped the question

Trip to Lanzarote was a bit spontaneous and unplanned. Mr and I booked the flights and an apartment very last minute. This AirBnb gem was very simple and about 10 minutes walk to the beach, but it was super cheap and had everything we needed- kitchen, balcony, parking space and a nice shower. San Bartolome A typical Canarian town in the middle of the island. Beautiful white church, César Manrique designed town hall & pebble streets surrounded by palm trees -perfect location for a nice stroll around and a perfect location for gorgeous summery shots. We have stopped at La Cantina to cool down and…
